Cop Car Smashes Traffic Island, Hits Three Other Vehicles
A Metropolitan Police vehicle racing to an emergency call collided with a traffic island on Long Lane, Hillingdon, late Thursday night, damaging three other cars. The smash happened around 11pm on 20 February.
Officers Hospitalised but Unharmed
The police crew inside were taken to hospital as a precaution but walked away unscathed. No civilians were hurt in the pile-up, police confirmed.
“Around 23:00hrs on Thursday, 20 February, a police car responding to a call was involved in a collision with a traffic island in Long Lane, Hillingdon. Road Closed for Hours During Investigation
Emergency crews swiftly arrived and cordoned off the area for several hours. The road was cleared, and an investigation launched into the crash circumstances, including vehicle speed and emergency protocols.
Locals Shocked but Relieved
Nearby residents heard the crash and rushed out in alarm. One witness said, “We heard a loud bang and rushed out to see what had happened. It’s a relief to know that everyone is okay.”
