Police are on the hunt for two bold women posing as nurses to pull off distraction burglaries in Crawley and East Grinstead.

Fakes Strike on Ifield Drive

At 3pm on 23 September, the duo knocked on a house in Ifield Drive, Crawley, pretending to be sent by doctors for medical checks. Once inside, one woman asked to use the toilet — and swiped valuable jewellery while the homeowner was distracted.

Second Theft Hits East Grinstead

Just two hours later, the same pair hit another home on Fairfield Road, East Grinstead. Using the identical scam, they gained entry and pinched more jewellery before disappearing.

  • A third attempt was made at another Ifield Drive property, but the burglars left empty-handed.

Operation Dawn Launched

Detectives have linked the crimes and launched Operation Dawn to track down the suspects. Police urge anyone with info or who spotted the women to step forward.
