Police Hunt Reckless Driver Who Endangered Lives in Bognor Chase
High-Speed Police Pursuit Ends in Foot Chase
Sussex Police are on the lookout after a dangerous driving spree in Bognor on the evening of January 20. At about 9:10pm, a grey Kia Sportage refused to stop for cops on Victoria Drive. The driver then sped and zigzagged through several streets, putting pedestrians and other road users at serious risk.
After a short pursuit, the driver abandoned the car on Stocker Road and took off on foot. Despite an immediate search, officers have yet to catch the suspect.
Police Urge Public to Help Crack Case
Detective Constable Rachel Simpson slammed the reckless actions: “This was a dangerous incident where the driver recklessly endangered the lives of others. The vehicle was driven at high speed through Bognor, showing a complete disregard for public safety.”
She added, “We’re urging anyone who saw the vehicle or has relevant footage to come forward. Even small details could be key to our investigation.”
Got Dashcam or CCTV? Police Want to See It
Sussex Police want residents, drivers, and businesses to check dashcams, doorbell cams, and CCTV from the time of the incident. Any recordings showing the Kia or the driver could help identify the culprit.
