BASE Jumpers Leap From Millbrook Towers in Shocking Stunt

Southampton City Council has launched an urgent probe after two daredevils BASE jumped from the 240ft Millbrook Towers on Thursday night. The thrilling jump was caught on video, showing one jumper deploying a parachute mid-air after leaping from the high-rise block.

Local Fury as Councillor Slams ‘Idiotic’ Jumpers

The stunt has left Southampton residents stunned. Millbrook Councillor Jeremy Moulton blasted the jumpers’ “utterly idiotic” actions. He warned, “They are lucky not to have killed themselves or hurt someone else.”

Moulton called for tougher security measures, urging the council to review all tower blocks to stop anyone accessing roofs. “We need to make sure these dangers don’t happen again,” he said.

Council Investigates Roof Access and Safety Breach

A Southampton City Council spokesperson confirmed a full investigation is underway. “We are looking into how these individuals accessed the secure rooftop. Trespassing will not be tolerated,” they said. The council is working with authorities to tighten building security.

Witnesses Left Stunned as Jumpers Soar Past Balconies

The dramatic leap was filmed by local Kane Sheen and has racked up over 1,000 views online. One viewer joked, “Imagine seeing someone parachute past your kitchen window after a quick smoke!” Others remembered similar youthful dares ending in scrapes.

Witness Harry Sheen, 29, described the jaw-dropping moment. “I was sitting in the field when I heard a scream. I saw two guys on the tower roof. One jumped and landed on the grass, then the second followed,” he said.

Harry added that people relaxing on nearby balconies were equally amazed. “There were quite a few folks in the park and on balconies who just saw a guy flying off the roof. It happened so fast!”

With the investigation ongoing, Southampton City Council vows to clamp down on such risky stunts before tragedy strikes.
