Hovertravel Brings Hovercraft Back to London for Pride Parade
Hovertravel is making waves at the UK’s biggest Pride Parade this weekend with a show-stopping hovercraft float. It’s claimed to be the first time a hovercraft has been seen in London since 1963.
Unique Hover Float Steals the Show
“Thanks to our friends at Isle of Wight Pride, a hovercraft will once again float through London,” says Neil Chapman, managing director of Hovertravel. Their engineering team has poured passion and vision into this spectacle. Even the crew sports extra-special Pride-themed uniforms for the occasion.
The company’s engineering truck has been transformed from a trusty workhorse into a dazzling hovercraft replica, complete with a skirt, propeller ducts, and specially adapted marine tech. Decked out in the iconic union flag livery, the float carries 12 people, including its own dedicated DJ. The all-white boiler suits and uniforms feature eye-catching rainbow details on the sleeves and pilot epaulettes.
Hovertravel Champions Inclusivity and Pride
“We are absolutely thrilled to be in 1 for Pride this year. Promoting 1, whether in our capital city or on the Isle of Wight, is important for everyone at Hovertravel and we are champions for inclusivity in the workplace and beyond.” – Neil Chapman
Hovertravel is proud to support LGBTQ+ pride, showing that inclusivity is at the heart of their mission—both on the water and in the workplace.
