Drunken Duo Booted Off EasyJet Flight Amid Cheers at Gatwick
Two troublemakers were hauled off an easyJet flight from Tenerife South to London Gatwick in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Sussex Police were called in after the pair caused chaos onboard, leaving fellow passengers cheering their removal.
Vodka Fuelled Mayhem on Board
Fellow travellers described the pair as “rowdy” after they downed a hefty amount of duty-free vodka. The commotion got so bad that authorities had to step in the minute the plane touched down at 2am.
“A police officer emptied the passenger’s handbag onto the tarmac and a 1-litre vodka bottle that appeared to be almost empty fell out,” said a passenger who filmed the dramatic scene.
easyJet Responds to Disruptive Behaviour
An easyJet spokesperson confirmed the incident. “Flight EZS8036 from Tenerife to London Gatwick was met by police on arrival due to disruptive passenger behaviour onboard,” they said.
“Our cabin crew are trained to act fast and decisively to keep everyone safe. Incidents like these are rare, but we take them very seriously and have zero tolerance for any disruptive conduct.”
Passengers Given Stern Warning Before Continuing
After being removed, the pair were spoken to by Sussex Police and handed some firm words of advice. They were then allowed to carry on with their onward journey.
