Knife-Wielding Gang Targets Man in Rodbourne Park
Between 7.30pm and 7.45pm, a man in his 20s was ambushed by four masked thugs on two mopeds near Rodbourne Road. As they closed in, they shouted, “Get the bike!” while brandishing a large knife.
Victim Flees on Electric Bike but Crashes
The victim tried to escape on his electric vehicle but crashed into a parked car, leaving the bike behind. He then raced to a nearby hotel for safety.
Suspects Snatch Abandoned Electric Bike
The gang, all wearing balaclavas and dark clothing—one dressed in blue—stopped to steal the electric bike after the victim fled.
Police Appeal for Witnesses After Shocking Attack
Inspector Annabel Martin said: “This was a very concerning attack and we know the impact this sort of crime has on our communities.
You may see an increased police presence in the area as we carry out searches and investigate the incident.
“We urge anyone who saw suspicious activity around Rodbourne Road at the time to come forward. Even small details could be crucial in catching those responsible.”
