Russia has slapped a travel ban on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a dozen senior UK figures, including Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and Defence Secretary Ben Wallace. The Kremlin says this move is a direct retaliation for the UK’s sanctions following the invasion of Ukraine.

Kremlin Fires Back Over UK Sanctions
Russia’s Foreign Ministry blamed London’s “unbridled information and political campaign” for isolating Russia and damaging its economy. They accused Britain of fueling the Ukraine conflict by supplying lethal weapons to Kyiv and coordinating Nato’s efforts.
“The British leadership is deliberately aggravating the situation around Ukraine, pumping the Kyiv regime with lethal weapons and coordinating similar efforts on the part of Nato,” the statement said.
Conflict Escalates as Kyiv Faces Deadly Missile Strikes
In related news, Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko revealed that missile strikes hit the capital earlier today, killing one and wounding several. Medics are in a desperate battle to save lives amid ongoing attacks.
Klitschko warned that Russian generals had threatened strikes on the city, and fierce air defences are struggling against what he called a “ruthless” enemy.
