Saltdean United’s Mega Makeover Gets Green Light
Saltdean United’s Legacy project has smashed a huge milestone. Brighton & Hove City Council’s planning team has signed off on all the pre-start conditions for the brand-new clubhouse, revamped grounds, and a shiny 3G pitch. This comes after the initial planning permission was granted back in October 2022.
Experts On Board, Work About To Kick Off
Since last autumn, the club has worked closely with top experts to tick all the boxes. Now, with formal approval in the bag, building work is set to launch shortly. Players, fans, and local residents all stand to gain from the fresh facilities and pitch upgrades, signalling an exciting new chapter.

The Legacy project is driven by committed volunteers and the Saltdean United committee. They gave a big shoutout to the team behind the scenes, including ECE Planning Consultants, LA Architects, Lizard Landscape Design & Ecology, Delta Green, SWP, C Denyer Ltd, plus Brighton & Hove City Council’s Estates Team for their vital support.
