Carbon Monoxide Scare in Brighton Flat Sparks Emergency Response
Emergency crews rushed to Lansdowne Place, Brighton, on Thursday night after several residents reported feeling unwell in a flat.
Fire and Ambulance Teams Act Fast
Just before 8pm, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb) responded to a carbon monoxide alarm going off inside the property.
“We were called to an incident at 7.59pm. A carbon monoxide alarm was sounding in a flat. Crews used breathing apparatus to enter the property,” said an ESFRS spokesperson.
“All residents in the building were asked to leave. A small number of people reported feeling unwell and were assisted by crews and the ambulance service.”
“The gas board was alerted and we handed over the incident.”

The exact condition of those affected has not been released, but emergency teams stayed on site to ensure everyone’s safety.
