Life-Changing Injuries After Pedestrian Hit on Isle of Sheppey
A pedestrian has been left with life-changing injuries after a shocking collision with a white Seat car near the Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village.
Crash Closes Key Roads
The crash happened around 6pm Tuesday, December 6th, at the junction of Leysdown Road and Warden Bay Road. Both roads have been closed since, causing massive delays.
Frustrated drivers, unable to pass, have been forced to park up and trek across nearby fields after waiting for hours.
Police Carry Out Forensic Investigation
Kent Roads Policing officers spent the evening at the scene, running skid tests and gathering vital evidence. They’ve used specialist scanning gear to capture detailed images and measurements of the crash site and the vehicle involved.
A blue trainer and a single milkshake bottle remain abandoned in the middle of the road, a haunting reminder of the crash.
Public Appeals and Road Closure to Continue
A crowd has formed at one end of the police cordon, with locals anxiously watching on. Kent Police are set to issue a public appeal soon, once all parties involved have been informed.
The road closures are expected to last into the early hours, disrupting travel for many in the area.
