Shoreham RNLI Lifeboats Race to Rescue Three Times in Nine Hours
Man Seen Entering Water at Brighton’s West Pier
Shoreham RNLI lifeboats launched three times between Saturday afternoon and early Sunday. First call came when a man was seen entering the water fully clothed near West Pier, Brighton. The inshore lifeboat crew scrambled to search the area. Thankfully, the man was found safe on shore, being cared for by Harbour authorities and nearby fishermen.
Harbour Drama as Fishing Boat towed Through Locks
After the rescue, a fishing boat needed to be towed through the harbour locks. The lifeboat stood by until it safely passed through and berthed, ensuring no further incidents.
Late-Night Alarm Near Worthing Pier
Just after midnight on Sunday, the crew leapt out of bed again. They launched the inshore lifeboat to reports of a man entering the water 100 metres east of Worthing Pier. Luckily, the man had already climbed out before they arrived and was in the care of paramedics and ambulance staff.
