A nurse was tragically killed in Sunday’s private jet crash at Southend Airport — and heartbreakingly, it was her very first day on the job. Friends reveal the 31-year-old medic had just started working for a medical flight provider after leaving her hospital post.
Heroic Nurse’s First Day Ends in Disaster
The dedicated nurse, recently married and embarking on a new career, was aboard a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air when it nose-dived and exploded into a deadly fireball shortly after takeoff. All four people on board died instantly.
The Dutch-based Zeusch Aviation-operated plane was due to fly to Lelystad, Netherlands, around 3:45pm on Sunday when control was suddenly lost.
Friend Speaks Out: “She Didn’t Tell Anyone”
“She was married just last year and had recently taken a job with a private medical firm. No one knew this was her first day. It’s absolutely devastating,” a close friend said.
The nurse’s wife is said to be “beside herself with grief” and currently unable to speak to authorities.
Crash Witnessed By Onlookers
Families and plane spotters at the scene watched in horror as the tragedy unfolded. Zeusch Aviation, which operates aerial mapping and organ transport missions, issued a statement:
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected. We are fully cooperating with authorities to understand what caused this tragic accident.”
Southend Airport Shutdown Continues
