Man Found Hidden in Coach Engine in Lee Green
Drama unfolded early on Friday morning in Lee Green when police discovered a man hiding in the engine compartment of a coach. The bizarre incident happened just before 6:50 a.m. on Eltham Road, near the junction with Courtland Avenue.
Coach Arrived from France
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed the coach had recently arrived in the UK from France. Officers, alongside the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade, rushed to the scene after emergency services received the call at 6:48 a.m.
Man Detained and Taken to Hospital
The man was detained as a precaution and then taken to hospital for checks. The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to manage the situation.
Investigation Underway
Police say inquiries are ongoing to understand the full circumstances behind the man’s presence in the vehicle’s engine compartment. No further details have been released yet.
