Massive Blaze Erupts at Waste Transfer Station

Firefighters are battling a huge fire at a refuge transfer station where roughly 100 tonnes of waste are ablaze. Luckily, no injuries have been reported so far.

Fire Service Swamped with Emergency Calls

The Brigade’s Control Office has already received over 15 calls about the inferno since it started. Crews from Richmond, Heston, Chiswick, Hammersmith, Wandsworth, and nearby stations rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised at 8:30pm on Sunday.

Local Residents Told to Stay Indoors as Smoke Spreads

Authorities have advised those living nearby to keep their windows and doors firmly shut due to thick smoke drifting through the area. Road closures have been implemented around the site to keep the public safe.
