Road users: Keep an eye out for the solid square diversion signs and follow these instructions:

  • Exit A1 northbound at A57 South, Markham Moor.
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A57.
  • Next roundabout: take the 1st exit onto the A638 northbound.
  • Follow A638 to Retford and turn left at A620 Amcott Way.
  • Continue on A620 to Hallcroft roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A638 North Road.
  • Stay on A638 through Ranskill and Scrooby, then at junction with A614, turn west onto A614.
  • Drive A614 to rejoin A1 northbound at Blyth Services and continue your journey.
