All Older Care Home Residents Offered Covid Vaccines
Every resident in our older person care homes has now been offered their first Covid-19 jab. Local authorities are working closely with NHS partners to roll out vaccines to the top four priority groups as quickly as possible.
Inside the Jab: Care Home Worker Shares Experience
Sheihnaz, a staff member at Lennox House care home, recently received her first dose. She kindly shared her straightforward experience, helping calm nerves for others awaiting their turn.
Don’t Call Your GP – NHS Will Contact You
The NHS will get in touch when it’s your turn. Please do not ring your GP or hospital requesting the vaccine. They are focused on contacting the right people at the right time to ensure smooth vaccine appointments.
Remember: The Covid-19 vaccine is totally free and only available through the NHS.
Got Questions? Virtual Vaccine Q&A This Thursday
On Thursday 4 February, Healthwatch Islington and North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group are hosting a virtual event to answer your Covid vaccine questions. Book your spot now and get the facts straight from health experts.
Still Follow The Rules Even After Your Jab
The vaccine offers our best defence against coronavirus, but it’s not foolproof. You could still catch or spread Covid even after vaccination.
- Stay home as much as possible
- Keep 2 metres apart from anyone you don’t live with
- Wear a face covering in indoor public spaces
Let’s keep protecting each other and ease the pressure on the NHS and social care services by sticking to these rules.
