A collision on the busy M20 motorway caused heavy delays tonight. The crash happened on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 3 (M26) and Junction 4, near West Malling — right within the new smart motorway sections.

As a result, two lanes (three and four) on the M20 were closed for hours. Police, ambulance, and National Highways teams rushed to the scene. National Highways South-East confirmed recovery was on its way at 7 p.m., warning drivers of a 25-minute delay stretching over 3.5 miles.
