Crash Closes Two Lanes on M20 Smart Motorway Tonight
A collision on the busy M20 smart motorway sparked rush-hour chaos this evening. The crash happened between Junction 3 (M26) and Junction 4 near West Malling, forcing two lanes to close on the coastbound carriageway.
Delays Backed Up for Miles
Despite emergency services including police, ambulance, and National Highways rushing to the scene, lanes three and four stayed shut for a long spell. National Highways South-East warned of a 25-minute wait and 3.5 miles of tailbacks as the recovery team made its way.
Traffic Clears Late Evening
By 8.40 p.m., all lanes reopened and traffic was flowing freely once again, ending the evening’s motorway misery.
