Tragic Crash Shuts M26 Eastbound in Kent
The M26 eastbound is completely closed between the M25/A21 and junction 3 (M20) after a fatal collision involving a pick-up truck and a lorry.
Sadly, two people have died in the crash. The westbound carriageway is also shut near junction 2A, with traffic forced to divert using the exit and entry slips at the roundabout.
Massive Delays and Road Closures
Kent Police expect the closures to remain all afternoon while they investigate the collision scene thoroughly.
Drivers heading anti-clockwise on the M25 aiming for the M20 should continue to junction 3 (Swanley Interchange) and use the roundabout to join the M20 instead.
Expect Hours of Gridlock
- Allow plenty of extra time for your journey.
- Over six miles of congestion building on M25 anti-clockwise near the closure.
- Plan alternative routes if possible to avoid severe delays.
