Police are hunting suspects after gunfire broke out in Beulah Road, Thornton Heath. Witnesses spotted two men speeding away on a moped moments after the shots rang out.
Gunfire Sparks Emergency Police Response
The Metropolitan Police were called at 6:34pm following reports of gunshots and a man brandishing a weapon in the residential area. Officers rushed to the scene and conducted an extensive search nearby.
Lucky Escape: No Injuries, No Arrests Yet
Miraculously, no one was hurt in the incident. However, the suspects vanished before police arrived and there have been no arrests so far. A Met spokesperson said:
“We were called to reports of gunshots being heard and a man in possession of a weapon at Beulah Road, Thornton Heath. Two men were seen fleeing on a moped. Officers attended and carried out a thorough search of the local area. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.”
