Three-Year-Old Girl Hospitalised After Horrific Dog Attack
A terrified toddler was rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries after a vicious dog attack in Rectory Fields at around 1pm on September 24.
Paramedics acted fast to treat the three-year-old following the shocking incident that left the local community reeling.
Dog Owner Flees Scene Before Police Arrive
Police arrived at the scene to find the dog’s owner had vanished without a trace. So far, no arrests have been made as officers launch a full investigation.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“Officers are investigating an alleged dog attack which occurred at around 12:50hrs on Wednesday, 24 September in Rectory Fields,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
“A three-year-old girl was taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service where she received treatment for severe injuries to her leg.
“It is believed the owner of the dog left the scene before police arrived. No arrests have been made at this stage.
“Anyone with information about the dog’s owner or who witnessed the attack is asked to contact the Met via 101, quoting reference 01/8008839/25.”
