Chaos on A259: Crash Snarls Peacehaven Traffic
Peacehaven woke up to gridlock this morning after a nasty collision on the A259. A car and motorcycle crashed, piling misery onto existing delays from roadworks nearby in Saltdean and Peacehaven. Emergency crews from Sussex Police, ESFRS, and SECAmb scrambled to the scene.
Motorcyclist Seriously Injured, A259 Shut
The biker suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. Emergency services had to close the A259 for crash recovery and medical aid. Traffic was forced onto back streets, grinding the area to a halt.

Fire Service Statement
An ESFRS spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.06am on 7 March to a collision between a car and motorcycle on South Coast Road, A259, Peacehaven. One fire engine from Newhaven attended. Crews worked alongside the police and ambulance. Thankfully, no one was trapped. The scene was made safe and one person was handed over to ambulance care.”
