Man Dies in Horror Crash on Busy Old Kent Road
A man has died after a serious collision on Old Kent Road in Bermondsey, south-east London. The fatal smash happened early today, causing chaos on one of the capital’s busiest routes.
Emergency Crews Race to Scene
The London Ambulance Service were called just before 7am on November 21. Paramedics arrived within five minutes but despite desperate efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. Sadly despite attempts to save his life, a man died at the scene,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Police and forensic teams quickly sealed off the area. Old Kent Road remains shut both ways between Dunton Road, Mandela Way, and Mina Road.
