Teen Killed in Horror New Year Crash on Dorset’s A35
A fatal three-car smash has left an 18-year-old passenger dead and three others injured on New Year’s Day. The horror collision happened just after 1:30pm on the A35 near Kingston Russell, West Dorset, involving a silver Kia Sorento, a black Toyota Aygo, and a black BMW.
Young Man Dies at Scene
The dead teen, from Cornwall, was a passenger in the Toyota Aygo. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene. His devastated family have been informed. Three other people suffered injuries, but thankfully none are believed to be life-threatening.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Sergeant Gareth Thomas of the Dorset Traffic Unit offered condolences to the family and confirmed an investigation is underway.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw the crash or the way the vehicles were being driven beforehand to get in touch. Dashcam footage from motorists in the area would be particularly valuable,” Sgt Thomas said.
