Tragic Death of Beloved GP After Crash on A337
A motorist lost her life in a horrific collision in Brockenhurst last Thursday. Annie Baughan, 61, from Sway, died at the scene on the busy A337 after her Skoda Fabia crashed with a lorry shortly after 5pm on June 6.
Community Mourns Beloved Local Doctor
Today, Annie’s family paid a heartfelt tribute. They said: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Baughan; beloved wife, mum, sister, auntie, and dear friend to many. Annie was a huge part of community life in Sway and beyond.”
Annie was a much-loved GP in New Milton, practising under her maiden name, Dr Rutherford, until her retirement last year. “She is so loved and much missed,” her family added.
Crash Investigation Still Underway
Police continue to investigate the exact cause of the crash. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
