Tragic Crash on A167 Near Darlington Claims Young Woman’s Life
A Mercedes C Class careered off the A167 near Coatham Mundeville, just outside Darlington, at around 3:15am on June 17. The car slammed into a tree, killing 25-year-old driver Natalie Marshall at the scene.
Family Pay Heartbreaking Tribute to ‘Strongest Personality’
Natalie’s family said in a statement: “Natalie was a very well-loved daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. We can’t express the depth of our grief over losing the biggest and strongest personality we’ve ever known.”
“She was the most hardworking and selfless young woman, lighting up any room she entered. This tragedy has truly broken our hearts. We know she holds a special place in many people’s hearts.”
Passenger Hospitalised After Serious Injuries
The passenger, a man in his twenties, suffered serious injuries and remains in Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital. Emergency crews are continuing their investigation into the crash.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Durham Constabulary is urging anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage of the Mercedes C Class shortly before the collision to come forward.
