Early Morning Blaze in Margate Sparks Fire Safety Warning
Firefighters rushed to a commercial property on King Street, Margate, shortly before 4am today after a tumble dryer burst into flames.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two fire engines to the scene. Crews donned breathing apparatus and tackled the blaze head-on with high-pressure hose reel jets. The fire was under control and fully extinguished by 4:21am. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
