Two Injured in Major A2 Crash Near Gravesend
Two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the A2 near Gravesend on Wednesday evening, November 6. The smash happened just after 5pm on the eastbound side, between the B262 and A227.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) teams raced to the wreckage. Both victims were treated at the scene, but one needed extra care and was rushed to Medway Maritime Hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
“Crews assessed and treated two patients at the scene. One patient was then conveyed to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment,” confirmed a SECAmb spokesperson.
Traffic Chaos as Delays Build
The crash sparked long tailbacks, with traffic grinding to a halt for nearly six miles and delays of around 45 minutes. The A2 was eventually cleared and reopened later that evening, allowing traffic to flow normally again.
