Two Dead, One Critical After Horror Crash on M25 Near Reigate
Tragedy struck just before 3 a.m. on Thursday as a car slammed into a lamppost on the central reservation near junction eight of the M25 in Reigate. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the smash.
Two Dead at the Scene, Third in Critical Condition
Two passengers, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old male, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger, believed to be in his twenties, remains in critical condition in hospital. The driver, aged 31, was treated and sent home.
Friends’ Trip Ends in Disaster
The group had been travelling to Dover to catch a ferry to Amsterdam. A friend, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “They were heading to Dover to get the ferry over to Amsterdam.” Last night, mourners left flowers and tributes at the crash site.
“He was a cheerful, outgoing person who really loved his bikes,” the friend said of one victim, Jamie. “Always out on the bikes. He used to go to the railroad tracks, which was a favourite pastime.”
Last-Minute Cancellation Haunts Friend
The group had set off from Bristol early that morning. One friend had to cancel at the last minute due to a lack of dog care. “If he could have gotten someone to look after the dog, he would have been on that trip,” the friend revealed. “He’s counting his blessings now.”
Family and Police Respond
Adeel’s brother posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, writing, “RIP MY LITTLE BRO,” while others paid homage calling him “MY LITTLE SOLDIER.”
