Body Found on Brighton’s A27 Shuts Road Late Friday

Parts of the A27 in Brighton were shut down after a body was discovered late Friday night.

Incident on A27 Near Coldean Lane

The grim find happened around 11:30pm between Coldean Lane and the Woodingdean turnoff. Emergency services quickly sealed off the area and launched an investigation.

Traffic Chaos as Diversions Are Put in Place

Drivers were forced to follow a diversion to avoid the closed stretch, causing delays for commuters heading through the busy Brighton route.

Sussex Police Confirm Fatal Discovery

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Emergency services responded to an incident at the A27 Falmer at about 11.30 pm on April 7. Sadly, the body of a 49-year-old man was found at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
