Major A3(M) Crash Shuts Road Both Ways in Hampshire

The A3(M) is completely closed between junctions 2 and 3 in Hampshire following a serious collision involving a car and motorbike. The smash has left the busy route sealed off both ways from J2 Dell Piece Interchange (Havant, Lovedean B2149) to J3 Waterlooville Interchange (Waterlooville, Havant B2150).

Emergency Services Swarm Scene

Hampshire Police are leading the response, with teams from South Central Ambulance Service and National Highways Traffic Officers also at the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, the closure is expected to remain in place well into the night.

Authorities have urged motorists caught inside the closure to stay with their vehicles. National Highways and police are working to safely turn traffic around from the back of the queue once the road is fully closed. “We appreciate your patience whilst this is being done,” a spokesperson said.
