Urgent Search Underway for Missing Man in River Taff
South Wales Police, joined by emergency crews, are frantically searching along the River Taff for 23-year-old Joshua Shaw. He vanished after being spotted entering the river on the evening of Wednesday, December 27.
Massive Rescue Effort Fails to Find Joshua
The force is working round the clock with the National Police Air Service (NPAS), HM Coastguard, and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. Despite their exhaustive efforts, Joshua remains missing.
He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark bottoms, and white trainers near Llys Cadwyn, Pontypridd. Specialist Search and Rescue teams are combing the river from Pontypridd down towards Cardiff in a desperate bid to locate him.
Police Issue Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Policing Inspector Leigh Parfitt said: “We are appealing for witnesses after Josh was seen entering the River Taff in Pontypridd by Llys Cadwyn just after 6.05pm on December 27. Despite searches by police officers, fire service, and rescue teams, Josh remains missing. We are very concerned for his safety.”
