Usman Khan, the terror attacker who killed two innocent people on London Bridge last week, has been buried in Pakistan. Khan was shot dead by armed police at the scene.
Body Flown Back to Pakistan
Khan’s family confirmed his body was released by the City of London coroner and flown back to Pakistan overnight. Islamabad Airport officials said the 28-year-old’s remains arrived on a passenger plane early Friday morning.
Final Farewell in Kashmir
Khan is set to be buried in his home village in Kashmir. His family have asked for privacy during this difficult time.
Traditional Muslim Funeral Rites Performed
Before the flight, a Janaza – a Muslim pre-burial ritual – was reportedly held at a Birmingham mosque. This involves prayer and the washing and shrouding of the deceased, performed by family or community members.
