Dead of night blast as car erupts in flames on Worthing street
2am Car Blaze Shocks Manor Road Residents
Residents in Worthing were jolted awake at 2am by a thunderous bang when a parked car suddenly burst into flames on Manor Road.
Sounds Like a Bomb, Says Shocked Local
A nearby resident told Sussex-News" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sussex News, “I was asleep and it sounded like a bomb had gone off. I grabbed my phone and dialled 999 immediately.”
Firefighters Rush to Scene, Save Neighbouring Vehicle
The West Sussex Fire Service quickly arrived and doused the blaze. The fire damaged not only the burning vehicle but also the car parked right next to it.
