Woman Raped in Early Morning Horror Attack – Police Hunt Key Taxi Driver
Gruesome Assault in Dickson Road Area
At around 2.10 a.m., police were called after a woman in her 30s was brutally raped in the Dickson Road area. The shocking attack has sent shockwaves through the local community.
Taxi Driver May Hold Vital Clues
After the assault, the victim flagged down a taxi and was driven to an address near Forestgate, close to Stanley Park. There, she confided in a friend who immediately alerted the police.
Detective Sergeant Chris Smith urged the taxi driver who transported the woman to come forward: “We are particularly interested in speaking with a taxi driver who took the woman to the address close to the Forestgate area, near Stanley Park. If this is you, please come forward right away as we believe you can assist with our investigation.”
Ongoing Investigation and Appeals
Officers are currently supporting the victim and carrying out extensive inquiries to track down the attacker. The force is keen to hear from anyone with information.
