Woman left with facial injuries after being attacked in Portsmouth
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Portsmouth. The 27-year-old woman was walking along Burrfields Road, Copnor, at 9am on October 19, when she was approached from behind and assaulted. The victim suffered facial injuries and received hospital treatment. Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously or hanging around the area prior to the assault. At this stage officers believe that this was an isolated incident and was not a random attack.
