Queen Elizabeth II Honoured on White Cliffs of Dover
Britain’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, received a stunning tribute as her image was projected onto the iconic White Cliffs of Dover. The black-and-white portrait casts a nostalgic glow, showing the Queen in her youth.
Moving Tribute from the Kent Coast
The striking projection was launched from Samphire Hoe on the Kent coast, lighting up the cliffs across the water. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle shared the poignant image on social media with a heartfelt message.
“In memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. May you rest in peace after all your hard work and dedication to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth,” said a Eurotunnel spokesperson.
Nation Pays Final Respects
Thousands of people, including families and devoted royal fans, flocked from all over the UK to honour the Queen. Some travelled for days, camping overnight on The Mall to secure a spot for the funeral procession.
After over ten days of national mourning, the country united to bid farewell to Her Majesty. The funeral service drew nearly 2,000 guests before the Queen was taken on a final journey through London to Windsor.
Final Resting Place in Windsor
The Queen’s coffin was carried in a specially designed hearse to Windsor, where she was laid to rest beside her late husband, Prince Philip, and other family members. The nation’s respect and love for the monarch were palpable until the very end.
