Streaming crook rakes in £237k selling illegal football feeds — now on the run!
BT Sport piracy kingpin caught red-handed
Mark Brockley, 54, from John Bagot Close, Liverpool, made a fortune selling subscriptions to a dodgy service called Infinity Streams. For a hefty £237,000, punters got illegal access to BT Sport content — including Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and Europa League matches. The IPTV scheme ripped off rightful broadcasters and cheated fans out of legitimate access.
Flees UK with his dog after being busted
Brockley was found guilty of supplying articles for use in fraud and dodging income tax. But he pulled a fast one by skipping his court trial and vanished. Police believe he fled to France with his dog, avoiding a prison sentence. Despite knowing the law was on the case, he carried on flogging illegal streams until he disappeared.
Police hunt is on: ‘Help us find Brockley’
The City of London Police are hunting Brockley’s whereabouts. “We are now appealing for information on Brockley’s location,” said officers. If you have any leads, contact the City of London Police immediately.
How the scam was uncovered
PIPCU (the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit) launched their probe back in November 2018 after BT flagged a Twitter account, @Infinity_IPTV, advertising the dodgy service.
