Deadly Israeli Air Strikes Hit Jenin Refugee Camp
Israel’s military launched fierce air raids on the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank, killing at least four Palestinians and wreaking havoc on buildings and infrastructure. The brutal assault combined multiple air strikes with a ground offensive using armoured vehicles. In a separate incident at Ramallah’s northern entrance, a fifth Palestinian was also shot dead. The chaos left 27 injured, with eight in critical condition.
Siege Tightened as Hundreds of Troops Swarm Jenin
The Israeli army imposed a harsh siege on the camp, sealing all entrances with tractors. Some 1,000 soldiers — including elite special forces, police, and border police — are involved in the operation. Homes are being raided aggressively, residents searched, and dozens arrested. The Palestinian Authority’s foreign ministry blasted the offensive, demanding urgent international action to stop “this aggression” and calling on the International Criminal Court to prosecute Israeli war criminals.
“Real War” Unfolds as Residents Face Air Strikes and Ground Assault
Local residents described the carnage as a “real war,” with live rounds fired inside houses and ambulances targeted. The relentless air bombings and ground attack have left the camp in ruins, with thick smoke billowing skywards. The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed multiple casualties and has been rushing the wounded to hospitals amid the ongoing violence.
