Police Appeal for Information After £10.4 Million Jewellery Heist in Primrose Hill

Detectives are seeking public assistance following the theft of £10.4 million worth of jewellery in a brazen burglary in Primrose Hill, Camden. The incident occurred on Saturday, December 7, at an address on Avenue Road, NW8, between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

The burglar gained access by climbing to a second-floor window of the property while the residents were away. Alongside the high-value jewellery, the intruder also stole £150,000 worth of Hermes Crocodile Kelly handbags and £15,000 in cash.

  • De Beers: Two butterfly diamond rings.

  • Hermes: A 3.03-carat ring, an aquamarine ring, and the ‘Niloticud Lumiere’ necklace.
  • Van Cleef & Arpels: Various pieces, including a 1978 diamond, sapphire, and platinum necklace/bracelet collection and the ‘Fleur des Mers’ ring with diamonds, sapphires, and aquamarines.
  • Chrome Hearts: Gold bracelets featuring emeralds and sapphires.
  • Chopard: Diamond earrings.
  • Other: Pink sapphire butterfly earrings from Katherine Wang.

Suspect Description

The suspect is described as:

  • A white man in his late 20s to 30s.
  • Of medium build, wearing a dark hoodie, cargo pants, and a grey baseball cap.
  • His face was covered during the burglary.

Police Statement

Detective Constable Paulo Roberts, leading the investigation, said:

“This is a brazen offence, where the suspect has entered the property while armed with an unknown weapon and violated the sanctuary of the victims’ home.

“The suspect has stolen £10.4m worth of jewellery, much of which is sentimental and unique in its design, and therefore easily identifiable.

“We urge anyone who was in the area of Avenue Road, NW8, and saw anything suspicious to please come forward. Also, if you have seen this jewellery since, someone has offered to sell you it, or you have any further information, then please contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
