Tonight, dozens met at the Peace Statue in Hove to remember the brutal conflict sparked by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, now entering its grim first anniversary.

Many attendees waved vibrant Ukraine flags. A speaker led the crowd in a stirring performance of the Ukrainian national anthem, setting a solemn and powerful tone for the event.
Sombre Vigil Hosted by Brighton & Hove Groups
The gathering was organised by “For Ukraine – Brighton & Hove” alongside the Interfaith Contact Group. They called on the local community to join in solidarity and remembrance. More events are planned tomorrow at All Saints Church, Hove.
Community Reflects on Trauma and Resilience
