PC Simon Peacock urged locals to come forward. “Thanks to those who’ve contacted us already. Your tips help us track down dangerous riders, many uninsured, riding on footpaths and green spaces.”

“These bikes ruin parks and playing fields and terrify people wanting to enjoy these spaces safely. We’re investigating every sighting and want the public’s help identifying offenders.”

Call 101 With Tips, Videos, or Photos

“If you see motorbikes, quad bikes or mini-motos causing havoc or risking lives, report it,” said PC Peacock. “We need names, descriptions, locations, and any video or photos. Whether you want to give a statement or stay anonymous, call 101 and we’ll take it from there.”

He added a reminder for riders: “Most people ride responsibly, but every spring and summer we see a spike in reckless behaviour. If you’re riding this summer, be legal. Stick to roads and designated areas. Wear a helmet. Be safe and protect others.”
