Shock in Outram Road this morning as a 28-year-old man’s lifeless body was found in a front garden. Police were called to the scene at 8am and confirmed the man, from Portsmouth, was dead on arrival.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Brown urged anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the early hours to come forward. He said, “Something that may seem insignificant to you may prove vital to this investigation, so please speak to us.”
DCI Brown added: “We are treating this as an isolated incident and reassure residents there is no wider public risk. Our priority is to determine how this man died. To do this, we have had to cordon off the road and a nearby property. We apologise for any disruption and thank local people for their cooperation.”
