Man slashes woman’s throat in Busy shopping centre car park
A man has been arrested after reportedly slitting a woman’s throat in a shopping centre car park. Police have sealed off part of the Dockside outlet centre in Chatham following the “serious assault”, which is thought to be a domestic incident. The man is said to have shut his partner in his car near the Odeon cinema. A witness said there was lots of blood and people could be heard shouting. At least 10 police cars are at the scene, along with firefighters, forensics teams and ambulance crews, and a green tent has been erected. The air ambulance is circling overhead, looking for somewhere to land. Police are at the scene. Witnesses say they saw a man in a white vest and “covered in blood” being put in a police car in handcuffs. Police are asking people with cars trapped in the cordon to be patient, as they will not be able to access them for several hours.
