Police Warn: Dealers Beware!
“Class A drugs like heroin and crack cocaine ruin lives,” said Sergeant Carl Holmes of the Safer Neighbourhood Team. “We’re committed to smashing dealers and stamping out related violence and anti-social behaviour. The message is clear – if you come to Basingstoke to sell drugs, expect to be caught and prosecuted.”
Sergeant Holmes praised community help, urging locals to report any suspicious activity immediately.
Spot the Signs of Drug Dealing
The Fortress campaign continues to fight drug-related violence. Police warn residents to watch out for:
- A sudden surge in visitors at a property, with people staying briefly
- Short, frequent exchanges between small groups outside homes
- Residents going out repeatedly then returning within minutes
- Loitering individuals using mobile phones constantly
- Unfamiliar new or hire cars parked nearby, driven by unfamiliar people
