An official probe is underway after a 34-year-old man was tragically crushed between two shipping containers at Portsmouth International Port last night.
Tragic Accident at Flathouse Quay
Police were called to the port at 6.51pm following the discovery of the man’s body on Flathouse Quay, at the MMD Shipping Services site on Prospect Road. The victim worked for MMD Shipping Services.
Health and Safety Executive Launches Joint Investigation
HSE are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man following an incident at Flathouse Quay, Portsmouth,” said a Health and Safety Executive spokesperson.
“HSE Inspectors attended last night. A joint investigation with Hampshire Police is ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.”
