Huge Blaze Rips Through South Nutfield – Visible From M23!

Firefighters across Surrey are battling a massive fire in Moat Lane, South Nutfield. The inferno, which started just after 8.30pm on Sunday, involves multiple vehicles completely engulfed in flames – the blaze can be seen from the M23 near Crawley.

Swift Response From Multiple Fire Stations

Crews from Salford, Godstone, and Reigate rushed to the scene, but their efforts are being hampered by a lack of water. A water carrier has now been dispatched to provide urgent support.

Challenges on the Ground

Firefighters face narrow gates restricting access to the property on a farm, complicating their mission. They are using four hose reels, two jets, and two crews in breathing apparatus, alongside foam (NAF), to tackle the flames.

Ongoing Investigation After Repeated Blazes

Surrey fire and rescue service confirmed receiving numerous calls from worried motorists spotting the fire from the M23.

Fire investigators have attended the scene and are expected to return at first light to determine the cause. This incident follows a major July fire that destroyed 15 vehicles in the same area.

The blaze is still ongoing, with emergency teams working tirelessly to bring it under control.
