Big Drug Haul Following Police Raids

Hampshire cops have arrested 21-year-old Akeem Durowoju during a major swoop on Class A drug suppliers in Basingstoke. The no fixed abode suspect faces two charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The operation saw officers execute four warrants across Buckskin, Eastrop, and South Ham on Tuesday 25 April, seizing suspected Class A drugs, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Woman Arrested Then Released But Investigation Continues

A 34-year-old Basingstoke woman was also arrested on suspicion of involvement in supplying cocaine and Class B drugs. She has since been released but remains under active investigation.

Operation Fortress Targets Drug Dealers

The police action is part of Operation Fortress, Hampshire Constabulary’s campaign aimed at slashing drug-related violence and cutting off the supply of deadly Class A substances like crack cocaine and heroin.

“Class A drugs like crack cocaine and heroin do tremendous harm to the people whose lives are blighted by addiction,” said Inspector Ben Taylor. “We are determined to identify drug networks that operate in Basingstoke and will continue to disrupt the activities of dealers.”
