Delivery Driver Brutally Stabbed to Death in Hackney
In the early hours this morning, a delivery driver was fatally stabbed in Hackney. Locals have named the victim as 21-year-old Kaan Aslan. He was attacked on his way home after a late shift.
Family Devastated at Murder Scene
Shocked relatives broke down in the street, just yards from Aslan’s home and the scene of the crime. Detectives arrived swiftly and launched a full investigation.
Police Race to Find Killer
A police spokesman confirmed officers were called by london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service at around midnight to Monteagle Way, Nightingale Estate, E5.
At the scene, Kaan was treated for a stab wound to the chest but sadly died just 15 minutes later at 12:15am.
Detectives know the victim’s identity and have informed next of kin, but no formal ID has been made. No arrests have been made yet, and enquiries continue.
Road Closures and Traffic Chaos
Police have set up a crime scene and closed surrounding roads. Commuters are urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes due to expected traffic disruption.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are keeping an open mind on the motive. They are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything around Monteagle Way and Nightingale Estate near midnight on November 13-14 to come forward.
